Abstract
Sukarno Ahmad Husein, the influence of education and training, promotion for new positions and employee relocations in relation to employees’ work satisfaction and performance in the Secretary Office of Ternate and Tidore, Province of North Maluku (advised by promotor Budiyanto and co-promotor Slamet Riyadi). This research is aimed to experiment a test and analysis of the influence of education and training, promotion for new positions, and employee relocations in relation to employees’ satisfaction through work performances. This research used primary data through surveys on around 478 employees in the Secretary Office of Ternate and Tidore in North Maluku. The sample researched was as many as 220 respondents consisting of 143 employees from Ternate and the other 77 staffs from Tidore. The data analysis used the causality analysis of Strutural Equation Modelling (SEM). The result of this research showed that education & training and employee relocations both significantly influenced the employees’ work performance, meanwhile promotions for new positions does not cause any influence on the employees’ work performance. Education and training, promotion for new positions, and employee relocations, all significantly effect the employees’ satisfaction, and employees’ work performance does influence their satisfaction.
